How to enable Microsoft VIVA topics for trial ?

I see lots of excitement for Microsoft VIVA – The first employee experience platform built for the digital era, Microsoft Viva brings together communications, knowledge, learning, resources, and insights into an integrated experience that empowers people and teams to be their best, from anywhere. There is a topic “Meet Microsoft Viva: A new kind of employee experience” going to be covered in MSIgnite session on 3rd march 2021.

Since VIA topics is now available for GA (Feature ID: 72069), now you can experience it by run a 30-day trial to test for up to 25 users. Below are the steps to activate the trail in your tenant.

Login to your office 365 tenant with global admin
Go into Billing > purchase service
In the right pane, Go into add-ons and select “Viva topics”
Go into product details and hit on “Start a free trail”

The subscription will be activated immediately to assign the VIVA topics license to your users. you need to pick few users and assign the license.

To activate the topics, you need to go into Microsoft 365 admin portal>Setup>File and content (right pane) and click on “Connect people to knowledge”. Now, follow the steps to configure VIVA topics.
