MS Ignite 2020 – New Announcement I mostly liked

This year MSIgnite 2020 got virtual due to pandemic and brought new experience for such large platform conference. Few announcement, I mostly liked are below and would like to share with you all.

Teams audio packet loss recovery of up to 50% with AI-generated content

Microsoft will be introducing support for audio packet loss of up to 50% with AI-generated content that sounds just like the real thing. It would be fun to hear how robot sounds :).

Use OneDrive for Business and SharePoint or Stream for meeting recordings

GA Q4 FY20 – Teams recording can be saved into sharepoint /One Drive. For any meeting it would use attendee one drive and for teams channel will use Shrepoint.

SharePoint Home site in Teams

Coming soon !. The new home site app brings the power of the SharePoint home site and an organization’s intranet directly into Teams to give employees a gateway to their organization’s intranet, with customizable naming, branding and multi-level navigation to teams, communities and resources.

Teams templates

Its in GA now but may take some time to appear in your tenant. You can choose industry specific template and use it accordingly, Each template comes with pre-defined channels, apps, and guidance. Administrators can also create custom templates for your organization, helping you standardize team structures, reveal relevant apps, and scale best practices

25K member teams

Team membership is currently limited to 5,000 members. Later this year we’ll increase this to support up to 25,000 members per individual team.

New Power Automate app for Teams

Expecting to arrive in Q4-FY20, It would provide enhanced set of templates to automate work in Teams, along with a new designer experience that makes it even easier to get started building.
