Microsoft Teams+Translator = Break the Language Barrier

Microsoft Teams got live captioning in teams meeting to let meeting participants convert the speech to text.. This feature is mostly useful when you have a problem to understand the Speaker/Presenter accent, cast from loudly places or bad call quality. But what about if the one of the participants in the Team meeting doesn’t know the English (Live Captions only support English for now) hence he will end-up with no understanding of the conversation. For example, you are interacting with a civil contractor or vendor for your remote office, civil works in somewhere in China and encounter similar problems?.

Here is a work around, where you can use Microsoft Translator with Microsoft Teams (without any integration) and remote worker can select their own language to be in the conversation.

You can start a Teams meeting with multilingual participants and let them use text/audio via a translator with mobile app and presentation over Teams (on desktop) clients.

You can watch this 2 minutes video to understand how it works.

Microsoft is getting several user voice to enhance captioning and translation in Microsoft Teams meeting for other languages, which would improve the overall experience in such scenario.
