In the pandemic many UC players came with several offerings and offers test licence for limited number of participants, So their products would be massively adopted and gain the market. Even, I am BIG fan of Microsoft Teams, I got one requirement to provide zoom add-ins in Outlook for a group of people.
If you have only request for limited users (5-10), to enable zoom add-ins, you can simply ask them to install by them-self and no need to push from M365 add-ins portal. User need to download and install from Zoom Plugin for Microsoft Outlook
To push the add-ins for a group of people, you need to do it from Centralize Deployment via Microsoft 365 admin center. Centralized Deployment supports three desktop platforms Windows, Mac and Online Office apps. Centralized Deployment also supports iOS and Android (Outlook Mobile Add-ins Only).
It can take up to 24 hours for an add-in to show up for client for all users
Now let’s push Zoom add-ins for outlook for group of users step by step.
Go into Microsoft 365 admin center > Settings> add-ins and click on “+ Deploy add-ins“. Select Deploy from the Store in Deploy a new add-in window.
In configure add-in window, you can select the groups/User you want to push it. Deploy to a small set of business users and members of the corp department. If the deployment is successful, move on to the bulk users.
Users need to wait for ~24+ hours, to see the add-ins in outlook and then start using it.
