HOW TO BE UPDATED WITH MICROSOFT 365 CHANGES

As a Microsoft 365 admin or change manager, its very important for you to keep track of all the changes in your tenant. M365 is a SAS platform and there are hundreds of developments in-progress and some of them would be in rolling out status.

Below are the few ways, can be followed, to be updated for your 365 environment.

M365 MESSAGE CENTER

To go to Message Center, Login to M365 admin portal>Health > Message center and select a message to read and share.

In message center pane, you can select the “High Importance” messages and sort “Act by” to have more recent and important change and updates. In Preferences settings, you can choose the M365 service those are relevant for your tenant to see the alerts and can opt-in for weekly digest email.

TARGETED RELEASE

In the targeted release, you can signup for your relevant teams like Information security, change manager, and other IT teams those are responsible for Microsoft 365 services and get the updates before everyone else and then inform or train your users on the new experience.

To Enable targeted release, you need to Sign in to the admin center > Settings > org settings > Organization profile > Release preferences.

Do not enable targeted release for all the users in your environment. your approach should be enabling it first for IT Pros and power users  to evaluate new features and prepare teams to support end-users and train you IT help desk.

ROADMAP AND COMMUNITY

Microsoft 365 roadmap portal shows all the status of cloud apps and service those are in “In development”, “Rolling-out” and in “Launched” phase. The roadmap portal is the official site for Microsoft 365 updates and changes.
