Gotcha with Microsoft Teams Admin Roles access!

To avoid the mess within the IT teams those manage few pieces of Microsoft teams workloads, There are four Teams admin roles available: Teams service administrator, Teams communications administrator, Teams communications support specialist, and Teams communications support engineer. 

As per this RBAC role, Teams Communication administrator should be able to manage all settings and policy which cover Teams audio/video area. similar, information has mentioned in Microsoft TechNet article Use Microsoft Teams administrator roles to manage Teams !

Below is the example of a user calling policy changes, where you can’t see the “calling policy” option while logged in with teams communications administrator role, but you have calling policy while logged in with Teams service Administrator.

The Teams Communication administrator can not manage the calling policy, Direct routing, phone number inventory assignment and Analytics, and reports using Microsoft Teams admin center. A Few of the settings/policy only can be managed via Skype for Business Power shell module, which is described in the below table.
