If you are a tech person and have passion to share your knowledge via recording your video, screen sharing for your youtbe channel or for customers.
Previously, if you had a webcam built in or connected to your computer, you could record a webcam video on YouTube and upload it directly to the site. This feature in YouTube is turned off now you need use software on your computer to record and save a webcam video, and then upload the video to YouTube.
If you don’t have 3rd party recording software(Kaltura etc..) , don’t worry .. you can manage this with Microsoft teams using below steps.
Here, I am going to record a session via use Audio and screen sharing (You can use video as well).
Go into Channel under teems and select meet now option.
Select screen, you are going to use to record your session from Open Share Tray
Start Recording from More Actions options and start your sessions(make sure you are fully ready before hit on recording option
Stop recording immediately once your session is finished to make sure you don’t record any silent session part. MS Teams will take some time to built the recording and will save into the channel conversation
Few points keep into consideration while creating your video/sessions:-
- Create a dedicate team and keep a meaningful name as it will display in recording
- Do not add any member in Teams and keep it as Private teams so recording will not be shared with others
- Be attentive to start/stop the recording while you start and finish the session
- Get the recording from Channel conversation and can edit it with any other tools
